Mount field offers easy short walks to beautiful waterfalls and tall forest. Incredible range of plant and tree species. Great bushwalking and cross-country skiing.

The Southwest National Park is home to some of the best bushwalks in the world including the Eastern and Western Arthur ranges that are suitable only for experienced walkers. Lake pedder is a perfect for kayaking with brilliant views and a feeling of real isolation. Lake pedder is also accessed by gravel road with amazing vistas from Red Knoll lookout.

The Styx forest famous for the tallest hardwood trees on earth is only a 20 minute drive from the base. See incredible cool temperate rainforest and rivers.
